On March eighth Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 went missing unexpectedly and suddenly along with its 227 passengers and 12 crew members. The plane left Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia at around 12:21am on Saturday March 8. The plane was headed for Beijing, China and was due to land at 6:30am that same day. It was around 1:21am that the plane made its last contact with air traffic control and it was last seen on civilian radar above the waters were the South China Sea meets the Gulf of Thailand. The plane then diverted from its intended flight plan and it was tracked by military radar up until 2:15am. Where it was last seen on radar seemly headed for the Andaman Islands. Since that time, search and rescue teams have been scouring the area where the plane was last seen hoping to find the missing people. So far nothing has been found, no wreckage, no black box, and no contact. Malaysian officials have now turned turned their attention to the possibility of a hijacking with last recorded spoken words said to air traffic control being “All right, good night”. Officials say that the calm nature of the spoken words could point towards some kind of take over. The search continues with a multinational effort being taken to try and find the missing Boeing 777 and the 239 souls on board.
